One of the culinary highlights of our 18 day trip to Scotland. Dine in rustic elegance with Scottish folk music playing in the background. Traces of the "old school" can be seen around the room in photos from days gone by as well as the massive chalk board that has the hand written menu for the evening chalked onto it. Delicious vegetarian friendly fare is served by professional wait staff. Vegetarian haggis, made of lentils and served with potato and root vegetable puree was a must try for this plant based chef. Finding non alcoholic Elderberry wine on the bottom of the wine list was delightful. How better to finish the perfect meal than with sticky toffee pudding for 2. Highly recommend the Old School Restaurant. Never forget it!
